Himalaya Shangri-La
A Tea Born in the Clouds-Outstanding High Mt Black Tea
There’s something inherently magical about the Himalayas—a region synonymous with mystery, serenity, and unspoiled beauty. When I first encountered Himalaya Shangri-La tea, I felt a sense of connection to that ethereal realm. I didn’t just sip tea; I embarked on a journey to a mythical land of peace and the peaks of perfection.

Himalaya Shangri-La tea is cultivated in the Himalayan region, primarily in Nepal. The gardens are nestled in the eastern part of the country, in the breath-taking foothills of the Himalayas, near the illustrious Ilam district, renowned for its tea cultivation, where the air is pure, the soil is rich, and the rhythm of life aligns with the earth’s natural cycles. These gardens sit at altitudes around 2100 meters above sea level, a factor that significantly influences the tea’s unique characteristics.
The high-altitude environment provides ideal conditions for tea plants to thrive. Cool temperatures, misty mornings, and abundant sunlight work together to slow the growth of tea leaves, allowing them to develop concentrated flavours and aromatic compounds.

The Taste of Himalaya Shangri-La
One sip of Himalaya Shangri-La Tea, and you’re transported to a world of subtle complexities. The tea boasts a golden amber hue, a testament to its meticulous processing. The flavour is a symphony of floral notes that reminiscent orchid and rose, hints of honey, ripe cherry-raspberry with a whisper of muscatel sweetness, earthy, woody, subtle malty-caramel and dark chocolate. A gentle astringency adds balance, leaving a clean and refreshing finish that lingers, much like the serenity of the Himalayan foothills.
